Write For Us

We want AreTheyThinking.com to be a collection of voices that represent a variety of views, and that includes yours. If you have a story you want to share with the world, let us know!

Sign up for an account and post a post we will review it and publish it. Please include links to and foot notes or supporting documents.   (AreTheyThinking.com pieces are typically 500 to 1000 words long).

Why do we require people to pay to comment or post? To keep spammers out! If you post an article we end up publishing, we will refund your membership fee. Write at least 1 article a year minimum.

We DO NOT accept posts that are advertising in nature or written specifically to drive traffic to a particular site.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for articulate, insightful pieces that inform, encourage, motivate, and entertain.

Here are a few tips for making sure yours rise to the top:

  • Start out with a bang. The first few sentences of your piece are the most important, so make sure you have a strong hook at the beginning. You want to immediately engage your fellow AreTheyThinking.com visitors.
  • Make a point. To make yours stand out, find a way to make it unique and relatable. Take a stance, and make it a must-read for our audience. Back up your story with facts and list them.
  • Don’t fancy it up. Write how you speak to others. Your story should be a conversation, not a term paper.

What We’re Not Looking For:
AreTheyThinking.com is not a home for personal letters, creative writing experiments, self-promotional press releases, or already-published content of any kind. We only accept stories that are not published anywhere else online and are original to the person submitting them.

What We Really Don’t Want:
Your story will not appear on AreTheyThinking.com if we determine that it was published anywhere else online, covers a topic that is not appropriate for the site, or otherwise does not meet the guidelines described above. Also, we do not permit stories to be posted on AreTheyThinking.com that contain explicitly inflammatory content. We urge you to review the Terms and Conditions before submitting your story idea.
